Present Continuous Tense
Das Present Continuous (auch Present Progressive genannt) wird verwendet, um Handlungen zu beschreiben, die gerade jetzt oder um die gegenwärtige Zeit stattfinden. Es wird gebildet mit dem Present Simple von 'be' + Verb-ing.
Das Present Continuous hat verschiedene Verwendungen. Es kann Handlungen beschreiben, die gerade jetzt stattfinden, vorübergehende Situationen, zukünftige Verabredungen und sogar nervige Gewohnheiten. Das Verständnis, wann man diese Zeitform verwendet, ist der Schlüssel zum natürlichen Englischsprechen.

Bejahte Form
Bilden Sie das Present Continuous mit am/is/are + Verb-ing. Die gleiche Struktur wird für alle Verben verwendet. Kurzformen ('m, 's, 're) sind im gesprochenen Englisch üblich.

Verneinte Form
Fügen Sie 'not' nach dem Verb 'be' ein, um Verneinungen zu bilden. Kurzformen werden häufig verwendet.

Ja/Nein-Fragen
Stellen Sie am/is/are vor das Subjekt, um Ja/Nein-Fragen zu bilden.
Beispiele:
- Am I eating chocolate?
- Are you studying now?
- Is he working?
- Is she doing her homework?
- Is it raining?
- Are we meeting at six?
- Are they coming?
W-Fragen
Bei W-Fragen fügen Sie ein Fragewort am Anfang der Frage ein.
Beispiele:
- Why am I eating chocolate?
- What are you studying now?
- When is he working?
- What is she doing?
- Why is it raining?
- Who are we meeting?
- How are they travelling?
Verwendung
⚠️ Hinweis: Zustandsverben (wie love, know, believe) werden normalerweise nicht in kontinuierlichen Formen verwendet. Sie beschreiben Zustände statt Handlungen.
