現在進行形の受動態は、英語で最もダイナミックな受動態構造であり、進行形時制の継続的な性質と受動態の焦点を移す力を組み合わせています。am/is/are + being + 過去分詞で形成されるこの構造により、継続的な動作を強調しながら、誰がそれを行っているかではなく、何が行われているかを強調することができ、進行中のプロセスを説明するのに最適です。

否定形と疑問形

肯定形:

  • The house is being painted.
  • New laws are being created.
  • The problem is being solved.

否定形:

  • The house is not being painted.
  • New laws aren't being created.
  • The problem isn't being solved.

疑問形:

  • Is the house being painted?
  • Are new laws being created?
  • What is being discussed?

よくある間違い

❌ "The house is build right now."

✅ "The house is being built right now."

進行形の受動態には'being'を使用し、過去分詞を加える必要があります

❌ "The cars are being wash."

✅ "The cars are being washed."

'being'の後は基本形ではなく過去分詞を使用します

❌ "The letter is being written from John."

✅ "The letter is being written by John."

動作主(実行者)を導入するには常に'by'を使用します
