'be'의 Present Simple

동사 'be'는 영어에서 특별한 동사입니다. 다른 동사와 달리 Present Simple에서 형태가 완전히 변합니다. am, is, are의 세 가지 형태가 있습니다.

긍정문

동사 'be'는 Present Simple에서 세 가지 형태가 있습니다: am, is, are. 어떤 형태를 사용할지는 주어에 따라 달라집니다.

부정문

부정문을 만들려면 동사 뒤에 'not'을 추가합니다. 대부분의 주어에는 두 가지 축약형이 있습니다.

의문문에서는 am / is / are를 주어 앞에 놓습니다.

짧은 대답

짧은 대답에서는 'Yes, [주어] + am/is/are' 또는 'No, [주어] + am not/isn't/aren't'를 사용합니다. 긍정의 짧은 대답에서는 축약형을 사용하지 않습니다.

  • Are you ready? – Yes, I am. / No, I'm not.
  • Is he here? – Yes, he is. / No, he isn't.
  • Are they students? – Yes, they are. / No, they aren't.

Wh- 의문문

의문사(who, what, where, when, why, how)를 문장의 맨 앞에 추가합니다.
