Past Continuous (Past Progressive)

Formamos o Past Continuous com was/were + a forma -ing do verbo. Use 'was' com I, he, she, it e 'were' com you, we, they.

Forme o Past Continuous com was/were + verbo-ing.

Forma Negativa
Adicione 'not' após was/were para fazer negações. As contrações são comumente usadas.

Perguntas Sim/Não
Mude was/were para antes do sujeito para formar perguntas.
Exemplos:
- Was I reading at 8 o'clock?
- Were you walking in the park?
- Was he cooking dinner?
- Was she talking on the phone?
- Was it raining this morning?
- Were we playing football yesterday?
- Were they studying together?
Perguntas com Wh-
Comece com uma palavra interrogativa, depois use was/were + sujeito + verbo-ing.
Exemplos:
- What was I reading?
- Where were you walking?
- What was he cooking?
- Who was she talking to?
- When was it raining?
- What were we playing?
- What were they studying?
Uso
Nota: Verbos estativos (como know, like, believe, want) geralmente não são usados em formas contínuas. Eles descrevem estados e não ações.
